Farfalle with Chicken, Tomatoes, Caramelized Onions, and Goat Cheese enlarge image

yield: Makes 4 to 6 servings

This pasta is loaded with appealing flavors: sweet onions and tomatoes, tangy goat cheese, earthy spinach.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 large red onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Sherry wine vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 8 ounces farfalle
  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1 cup low-salt chicken broth
  • 6 heirloom tomatoes, cored, chopped (about 5 cups)
  • 2 cups shredded cooked chicken (from 1/2 rotisserie chicken)
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh marjoram
  • 3 cups baby spinach
  • 3 ounces soft fresh goat cheese, crumbled

Preparation

Heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium high heat. Add onions; sprinkle with salt and cook until beginning to brown, stirring often, about 8 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low. Stir in vinegar and sugar; cook until onions are browned, stirring often, about 15 minutes. Transfer caramelized onions to bowl; reserve skillet.

Meanwhile, cook pasta in large pot of boiling salted water until tender but still firm to bite, stirring occasionally. Drain.

Add wine to reserved skillet. Boil until reduced to 1/2 cup, 3 minutes. Add pasta, onions, broth, and next 4 ingredients. Season with salt and pepper. Stir over medium heat to warm through, about 3 minutes.

Divide spinach among plates. Spoon pasta over spinach. Top with crumbled goat cheese.

French Toast Recipe...... copied from a blog

ohhhhhhhhhh... was surfing in Internet and thought about french toast and how make them.... so copy this from http://startcooking.com

French toast is one of those “Happy Foods” that bring a smile to everyone’s face. It’s that perfect weekend breakfast food that just makes you feel like you’re celebrating.

You probably have the basic ingredients — eggs, milk, sugar, butter, and bread - sitting in your kitchen right now. Add maple syrup and vanilla extract to your next shopping list and you’ll be ready to make French toast. (All sorts of different flavored extracts can be found near the spices/baking ingredients at the grocery store.)

Plain white bread is traditional, but you can also try using a braided bread (challah), croissants, whole-wheat and rye bread for French toast.

The following ingredients are needed to make French toast:

2/3 cup of whole milk

4 large eggs

2 Tablespoons of sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla

¼ teaspoon of salt

Using a shallow bowl whisk them together (or blend together with a fork).

The egg mixture should look like this before you start dunking the bread.

Dunk each slice of bread into the egg mixture just before you add the bread to the fry pan.

Make sure both sides are fully covered.

This step could take a little practice. Leave it too long and the bread disintegrates; not long enough, the bread doesn’t get coated.

Melt 1 1/2 Tablespoons of butter in a fry pan over medium heat. Add however many slices of bread fit in the pan without squishing everything together.

Cook the bread until it is golden brown and then flip it, preferably with a spatula. Let the other side cook until golden brown as well.

Serve it immediately with a dusting of powdered sugar or maple syrup.

Enjoy!

Make the arepa tipical form. Rounded

Ponerlas en el tostiarepas por el tiempo por ustedes al gusto

Put them in the tostiarepa (Is like a Toaster to make Arepas, is awesome)

Preparación del Périco.  (Tomates y cebollas) pueden hacerlo con pimentón tambien, pero no tenía. y Batir unos Huevos

Perico Recipe (Scramble Eggs with Tomato and Onions) you could put Pepper.. Didn't have at that time.

Freir la cebolla y el tomate y después se le agrega el huevo y se revuelve.... se le puede agregar jamón como yo hice como un adicional.

After you chop the onions and tomato, put in a skillet and fry them add the eggs and make the scramble eggs... you can add ham as I did.. Is an add.
